Massage and bodywork for you and your kids.
While passionate about scars and scar tissue, I also have successfully helped people with various orthopedic conditions and complex injuries. I take a 'whole person' approach while zeroing in on root causes.
Growing up with scar tissue and pain from surgery in infancy is what drives me.
My focus on this kind of work stems from my own lived experience of having kidney surgery as an infant. Ultimately, I did end up being One Kidney Sydney.
Working with scars and scar tissue is a passion of mine and is work that I prioritize in my sessions. This approach can also useful for those navigating complex injuries, orthopedic conditions, as well as hypermobility, autoimmunity, and chronic illness.
As a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist, I love working with children and teenagers by providing skilled, fun massage therapy. I work primarily with children 2 and older. I am also Certified to work with ASD populations and have years of experience working with people with special needs and disabilities.
Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It's a relationship between equals.
What makes me different
Each person, body, and session is unique. My goal is to craft my sessions keeping that in mind. I combine my constantly expanding anatomical and physiological knowledge with palpation and intuition to figure out underlying issues or stressors.
Laughter is medicine and keeping joy and humor at the forefront is a natural extension of my personality. I don't treat sessions like a comedy show, but I've been known to have quirky explanations to help people better understand their body.
Some sessions require a lot of thought and brainstorming. I blend different techniques I have learned, scientific knowledge, respect for the nervous system, and the wide-net of information I store in my head to help you figure out what's going on and how to improve.
